Epson EcoTank L7160 printer model uses the Epson Micro Piezo print head with 360 nozzles for black and 180 nozzles for each color. Its minimum droplet size is about 1.5 picolitres (pl) with a variable-sized droplet technology. It also has pigment black and dye color inks as compatible ink technology. The printing resolution is up to 5760×1440 dots per inch (dpi). The Epson EcoTank L7160 also has an internal driver compatible with OS compatibility.

At the ISO/IEC 24734 standard printing mode, the print rate is 13 pages per minute (ppm) for black and white printing. Moreover, color printing at the same method is ten ppm. The standard print speed is up to 32 ppm for black and color printing when using plain papers. However, printing on Epson Premium Glossy photo paper has a running rate of 20 seconds per photo. However, the duplex printing speed is 5.5 ppm for A4 paper in black and 4.5 ppm for color pages.
When scanning, the Epson EcoTank L7160 model has a scanning rate of 0.8 milliseconds per line when the input resolution is 300 dpi. The device’s scan rate is 2.2 milliseconds per line. The optical resolution of the machine is about 1200 x 2400 dpi for the horizontal and vertical sides. It also supports BMP, PDF, JPEG, and TIFF formats with a contact image sensor (CIS) element.
The compatible paper formats include A4, A6, A5, B5, C6, letter, photo paper sizes, and custom sizes. This machine also works with duplex printing with A4 plain paper. However, its output tray can hold about 50 sheets of printed paper. On the other hand, the multifunction tray holds 100 sheets and 20 photo sheets.
