The Epson EcoTank L3156 printer model has an Epson Micro Piezo print head with 180 nozzles black and 59 nozzles per color in the nozzle configuration. At the same time, the printing resolution is up to 5760 x 1440 dots per inch (dpi). It also has a minimum droplet size of about three picolitres (pl) with a variable-sized droplet technology. When printing at the ISO/IEC 24734 standard mode, the print rate is ten pages per minute (ppm) for monochrome and five ppm for color. Furthermore, traditional printing of black and white documents speeds up to 33 ppm, using 75 gsm of plain paper. However, color printing under similar conditions is up to 15 ppm, while it takes 69 seconds when using photo paper. Meanwhile, the compatible photo paper is the Epson Premium Glossy Photo Paper.
In scanning, the single-sided scanning process with this machine has a rate of 11 seconds with the flatbed scanner. Moreover, color scanning with the A4 paper has a scan rate of 28 seconds with the same flatbed scan for 200 dpi.
