The HP LaserJet Pro P1108 plus Driver lets a computer send print jobs to this print-only monochrome laser printer. The machine does not scan, copy, or fax, so the software only needs to prepare black-and-white print data. A wired setup uses the USB connection on the printer. After installation, documents leave the application, enter the print queue, and reach the LaserJet through the selected driver.

The HP LaserJet Pro P1108 plus is a monochrome laser printer built only for printing. Its print engine uses 32 MB of memory and a 1 GHz processor, with one black toner cartridge supplying the pages. There is no display on the control panel; buttons and status lights show the machine’s condition instead. With the trays folded in, the printer is 349 x 238 x 196 mm and weighs 5.2 kg with the toner fitted.
A4 documents print at up to 18 pages per minute. From ready mode, the first sheet can come out in about 9.7 seconds. Maximum print resolution is 600 x 600 dpi. Duplex hardware is not fitted, so a two-sided job needs the paper turned and fed back manually. HP rates the machine for as many as 5,000 pages in a month, although its recommended monthly range is 250 to 1,500 pages.
The front input tray holds 150 sheets, compared with 100 sheets in the output bin. Standard sizes run from A4 down to A6, with B5 and postcards also fitting the feed. Envelopes use the same tray, including C5, DL, and B5 sizes. Heavier or less common stock can include cardstock, labels, transparencies, rough paper, and vellum. Custom sheets can range from 76 x 127 mm up to 216 x 356 mm.
Connection to a computer is limited to the Hi-Speed USB 2.0 device port. There is no built-in Ethernet or wireless interface, so network and Wi-Fi printing are not part of this model. HP also lists mobile printing as USB only. Power draw is about 334 watts during printing, but falls sharply once the printer is idle. Ready mode uses about 3.0 watts, and sleep mode drops to roughly 0.46 watts.
