The Epson ET-2803 is a wireless cartridge-free all-in-one for print, copy, and scan work. Ink reaches the page through a four-color drop-on-demand MicroPiezo printhead. Separate 522 bottles feed the black, cyan, magenta, and yellow tanks, so the body has visible refillable reservoirs instead of cartridges. The flatbed scanner sits above the ink-tank section and uses a CIS photo sensor. A 1.44-inch color LCD and front buttons guide standalone tasks, not a touchscreen.

Print detail tops out at 5760 x 1440 dpi, which matters most when paper and quality settings are chosen carefully. Black documents run at 10.0 ISO ppm, and color pages run at 5.0 ISO ppm. The first black page appears in about 10 seconds; color output starts closer to 16 seconds. Scanning uses 1200 dpi optical resolution, with 1200 x 2400 dpi hardware capture and interpolation up to 9600 dpi. The flatbed takes one original up to 8.5 x 11.7 inches.

Paper loads from the rear, where the feeder takes 100 plain sheets or 20 photo sheets. Printed pages collect in a smaller 30-sheet output tray, so long jobs need more attention. Photo paper fits in 4 x 6-inch and 5 x 7-inch sizes. The same rear feed also accepts A6, half letter, letter, A4, executive, legal paper, and No. 10 envelopes. From a computer, user-defined sheets can extend to 8.5 x 47.2 inches.

A nearby computer can connect through Hi-Speed USB. Wireless jobs can move over Wi-Fi 4, and Wi-Fi Direct helps when a router connection is not available. Phone and tablet printing works through AirPrint, Android Printing, Mopria, Epson iPrint, or Epson Smart Panel. Ethernet is absent, and the flatbed has no automatic document feeder. Two-sided printing also needs manual handling. With the trays closed, the body measures 14.8 x 13.7 x 7.0 inches and weighs about 8.8 lb.
