The Epson EcoTank L6170 printer model is a multifunctional device capable of printing, copying, and scanning documents. Similarly, it has 400 nozzles for black printing and 128 nozzles per color for color printing. Its minimum ink droplet size is 3.3 picolitres (pl) with variable-sized droplet technology. Also, the ink technology involves pigment black and dye color inks as a home and office desktop machine. Epson EcoTank L6170 then has an internal driver for various OS versions compatibility.

Scanning at the simplex mode has a rate of 1.5 milliseconds per line when the input resolution is 300 dpi. On the other hand, color scanning has a rate of 7 milliseconds per line. Also, the optical resolution is up to 1200 x 2400 dots per inch (dpi) for horizontal and vertical sides, respectively.

The supported standard paper sizes include A4, B5, A6, A5, C6, DL Envelopes, letters, legal and custom sizes. Also, the Epson EcoTank L6170 model has a standard tray that can hold 150 sheets of plain paper or 20 photo sheets. However, the output tray can hold 30 sheets of printed paper.
