Printed A4 or Letter pages collect in an output area rated for 100 sheets. Larger paper reduces that capacity to 50 sheets.

A nearby computer can connect over USB 2.0 Hi-Speed, while Ethernet provides a wired network connection. Wireless jobs can travel over Wi-Fi, and Wi-Fi Direct can link a compatible device without using the normal router connection. Fax transmission uses Super Group 3 hardware and a 33,600 bps modem. The front USB host can print JPEG files directly from a compatible flash drive or save scans to one. Brother lists the machine at 19.8 kg, with power use of about 29 W during copying.
