The tray accepts A4, Letter, Legal, Folio, A5, A5 long edge, B5, and Executive sizes. Plain, thin, and recycled paper are the listed media types. Brother lists no automatic document feeder, scanner glass, multipurpose tray, or envelope slot for this single-function laser model.

Connectivity stays limited to Hi-Speed USB 2.0 for direct computer connection. Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, touchscreen controls, memory-card support, and mobile-printing hardware are not part of this model. Closed dimensions are 340 mm wide, 238 mm deep, and 189 mm high. With the toner and drum installed, weight is about 4.5 kg, while printing power consumption is approximately 380 watts.
