The Brother MFC-L5700DN multifunction printer is very similar to the MFC-L5750DW printer in very many ways. Whereas, other models of the same family series also include DCP-L5500DN/ DCP-L6600DW, MFC-L6800DW and MFC-L6900DW. The display component that also serves as the control panel comprises of a liquid crystal display (LCD). This component has a diagonal length of 3.7 inches of TFT color touchscreen.

The output tray on the other hand only holds about 150 sheets of printed pages in a face-down pattern.

Scanning involves TWAIN, WIA, ICA compliance with 48-bit color processing for input and 24-bit depth for output. Grayscale, however, has depths of 16-bit as input and 8-bit processing for the output.
