The physical measurements of this printer include a height of about 180 mm and a depth of 375 mm. The printer width is up to 468 mm while its weight ranges up to 8.6 kg. The input document width can only not exceed 215.9 mm while the maximum height is 297 mm. The printer also has a new automatic document feeder (ADF) that can accommodate up to 15 sheets of paper supplements. The ADF can only also hold a maximum weight of about 90 gsm. The main paper tray, on the other hand, can load up to 100 sheets of paper with a maximum weight of 80gsm.
The output tray capacity of the Brother MFC-990CW printer model is 50 printed sheets at a standard weight of 80 gsm. The printer recognizes connecting through the standard USB 2.0 hi-speed port using the recommended USB cable. The cable, however, must not be longer than 6 feet long (that is 2 meters). As an alternative, the printer also supports connection through the Ethernet UTP cable with category 5 or higher.
