Brother DCP-T525W Driver helps the computer recognize this multifunction ink-tank printer during setup. After recognition, print, scan, and copy commands can pass through the selected connection. Wireless setup must also point computer commands to the correct printer and scanner path. Once setup is complete, printed pages and scanned files can move between the computer and the Brother DCP-T525W with proper device recognition.

Brother DCP-T525W is a colour ink-tank multifunction inkjet for printing, scanning, and copying. Fax hardware is not part of this DCP model. Scanning relies on the flatbed glass, so stacked originals cannot feed automatically. The ink system uses a BTD60BK black refill bottle and BT5000C, BT5000M, and BT5000Y colour bottles. Local operation runs through a one-line LCD, and onboard memory is 128 MB.
From Windows, print resolution reaches up to 1200 x 6000 dpi. On A4 paper, listed speed runs up to 17 ipm in mono or 9.5 ipm in colour. Fast mode reaches 30 ppm in mono and 12 ppm in colour. First-print timing is up to 6 seconds in mono or 9.5 seconds in colour. Scanning works from the flatbed at up to 1200 x 2400 dpi, while Windows interpolation can raise the scan file to 19200 x 19200 dpi.
The copier accepts A4 originals and can produce monochrome or colour output. A single copy job can produce up to 99 pages. Reduction and enlargement move from 25% to 400% in 1% steps. Copy print resolution reaches 1200 x 1800 dpi, and copy scan input is 1200 x 600 dpi. Paper feeds from a 150-sheet standard tray or a one-sheet manual slot. Printed pages collect in a 50-sheet output area.
The main tray takes plain, inkjet, glossy, and recycled paper from 64 to 220 gsm. Heavier paper can pass through the manual feed slot up to 300 gsm. Paper sizes include A4, Letter, Legal, Executive, A5, A6, envelopes, and photo paper. Borderless printing is limited to A4, Letter, A6, Photo, Photo L, and Photo 2L sizes. A nearby computer can connect through USB 2.0. Wireless setup uses Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, or WPS. The body measures 435 mm x 380 mm x 159 mm.
