Brother DCP-T425W is an inkjet ink-tank multifunction printer for printing, scanning, and copying. Printing comes from a piezo print head with 210 mono nozzles and 70 nozzles for each colour channel. Inside, the machine carries 64 MB of memory, while the control panel uses an LED display and buttons rather than a touchscreen. Separate ink tanks hold black, cyan, magenta, and yellow ink.
Print resolution reaches up to 1200 × 6000 dpi from Windows when best mode and glossy media are selected. Scanning uses the flatbed at up to 1200 × 2400 dpi optical resolution, and interpolation can reach 19200 × 19200 dpi through the scanner utility. Copying works in colour or monochrome, with A4 copy width at 204 mm, scaling from 25% to 400%, and stacks up to 99 pages.
Paper input comes through a 150-sheet front tray, while the manual feed slot takes one sheet at a time. Plain, inkjet, glossy, and recycled paper can pass through both paths. Sizes include A4, Letter, Executive, B5, A5, B6, A6, envelopes, photo sheets, and index cards. Printed sheets collect in a 50-sheet output area for 80 gsm plain paper.
