The Sharp MX-5050N printer can use the laser print technology to produce color or black and white documents. As for the mobile printing capability, the machine can use the Apple AirPrint amidst other wireless features. The standard internal memory is also up to 5 GB with a hard disk drive capacity of 250 GB. Sharp MX-5050N is also compatible with the RoHS standard, while the minimum power consumption is about 0.9 watts. On the other hand, the maximum power consumption is up to 1.92 kW. The speed of copying reaches 50 pages per minute (ppm) for both monochrome and color modes.
At the same time, the resolution is up to 600 x 600 dots per inch (dpi) for both color and monochrome. It also produces 256 levels of grayscale halftones, while the warm-up time is about 3.7 seconds. When using the copying mode as well, it can either zoom to a 400% level of the original size. Or it can reduce the output to a 25% level of the original size. This printer model also supports automatic duplexing, which means it can work on both sides of the paper.
This machine is an energy-star compliant device with a blue angel certification too. It has a printing resolution is up to 1200 x 1200 dpi for monochrome and 600 x 600 dpi for color.
