Printing is through the essential laser print technology, while connectivity is through the USB 2.0 port or wired LAN. It has a liquid crystal display (LCD) screen on its control panel, which supports 16 characters in two lines. Inside the printer, the carton is a black toner cartridge that can produce up to 1000 pages of printed papers. In copying mode, the rate of work is about 17 pages per minute (ppm) for working with A4.
On the other hand, it has a print quality of 300 x 300 dots per inch (dpi) while it enlarges to 150%. Furthermore, it can reduce the output images to 50% while it produces up to 99copies of print. Printing as well runs at a similar print rate, but the resolution is up to 600 x 600 dpi. Whereas, the printer driver uses the Windows GDI driver. Also, connectivity is through the standard USB 2.0 port with one parallel connection.
Using this machine also provides compatibility for MS Windows XP, Windows 2000, and Windows Me. The input tray of the device can load up to 250 sheets of the proper size. But the output tray will only accommodate 150 sheets of the papers of the average weight of 20 lbs. When using the other types of paper sizes, the maximum original size can only be 8.5 inches x 11 inches. Finally, the transmission rate of the faxing process is 33.6 kbps, on the average.
