The Epson ET-4955 is an inkjet multifunction printer that features A4-size printing capacity. Its refilling system is based on the use of pigment black ink and dye color inks. PrecisionCore print head technology is applied to accomplish the print process. Four colors with 400 black nozzles and 128 nozzles per color are used in this machine. 4,800 x 1,200 dpi resolution is offered for quality text, graphics, and standard color prints.
Print speed is 18 ppm in black and 9 ppm in color based on ISO tests. Draft modes allow increasing the print speed to 35 ppm in black and 23 ppm in color using plain paper. The Epson ET-4955 can print automatically in duplex mode; the duplex printing speeds are 7 A4 pages per minute in black and 5 A4 pages per minute in color. The time needed for printing the first page is about 8.5 seconds in black.
Paper handling capacities include a 250-sheet front tray and a 30-sheet output tray that will be convenient for the usual home office work. The media sizes supported by this machine are A4, A5, A6, Letter, B5, B6, envelopes, and standard photo sizes.
