Using the A4 color document, the capacity for printing in up to 300 sheets for black printing. The color cartridge, however, can print up to 1705 sheets of plain paper. The print rate for black and white documents is up to 15 pages per minute (ppm). Whereas, the standard for color printing is up to 9.7 ppm for the same A4 paper. But photo print speed at the borderless mode is approximately 41 seconds per page.
At the same time, standard printing supports standard paper sizes include A4, letter, legal, A5, B5, envelope, and custom sizes. This Canon PIXMA MG6870 machine can also work with both simplex and duplex printing. The latter is the feature that helps a computer to print on both sides of the paper page. But there is an automatic document feeder that can hold up to 100 sheets of plain paper. The machine supports several mobile printing features, such as the PIXMA cloud application.
Other similar features include Google Cloud Print, Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY mobile app, AirPrint, Mopria Wireless Print, and Canon Print Service. Scanning with this device produces a resolution of about 1200 x 2400 dots per inch (dpi). It also uses a CIS scanning element while the speed is up to 19 seconds per page.
