In terms of the print quality resolution, the color printing is up to 4800 x 600 dots per inch (dpi). Whereas, the black or monochrome printing produces a quality resolution of 600 x 600 dpi. The machine also works with compatible cartridges such as PG-245 and PG-243 for pigment black printing. On the other hand, when printing in dye-based color ink, the compatible cartridges are CL-246 and CL-244 models. However, each of these cartridges has varying volume capacity for printing.
The supported paper types include plain paper, photo paper plus glossy II, photo paper brilliant, and US #10 envelopes. Also, this machine has a rear paper tray that serves as the output tray. This tray can hold up to 60 sheets of plain paper or 20 sheets of 4×6 glossy photo paper.
