The manufacturer encourages the user to ensure that they install the printer driver software before connecting the printer to the computer using the USB cable. However, make sure the printer is already off before installing the interface cable. The connection ports for both the USB and the infrared are on the side of the printer. The third means of connectivity is through the Bluetooth following the recommendations of the manufacturer in installing the necessary driver software.
There are three different power options for this Brother PJ-562 printer such as the AC power outlet, the DC connection, and the inbuilt battery. Connecting through the AC power outlet helps to charge the battery, and it requires an AC adapter with power cord, compared to a voltage range of 100 to 240 volts AC at a frequency of 50/60 Hz.
The PocketJet printer can also use the Ni-MH inbuilt battery or from a vehicle 12 volts DC supply that is useful for recharging the battery too. The connection is through the PA-AD-500CG/WR with a cigarette plug or direct-wired cable, and this feature uses a power cord through the vehicle power. The printer also has three indicator lights, the power, data light, and the error indicator lights.
The printer has main switch functions for power on or off and for manual form feed and to charge the battery. The compatible and supported media types include the cut sheet paper, the perforated roll paper and the non-perforated roll paper.
