RAM: the recommended RAM size for Windows XP (SP 2) is 1 GB while for Windows Vista, 7, 8 and 10 is 2 GB of 32-bit or 2.5 GB of 64-bit

For all the members in this series, the suitable cartridges depend on the region of use of the printer in the world. For instance,
North America and the Asia Pacific and Japan (excluding India, China, and Indonesia) uses the HP 61 black ink and the tri-color ink cartridges
In western Europe, HP 301 black ink cartridge and tri-color ink cartridges are in use
In Africa, Middle East, Latin America and CIS, HP 122 black and tri-color ink cartridge is acceptable
Lastly, in China, India, and Indonesia, the HP 802 black and tri-color cartridge is acceptable
The paper tray holds a total of 60 sheets of plain paper, but also supporting other main types such as transparencies, Index cards, Photo paper, Envelopes, etc. the output tray, however, takes up to 25 sheets of plain paper. The supported paper sizes include the US standards of US Letter, US Legal, US Executive, A4, A5, B5, B6, etc.
The printing speed of this device mainly depends on the complexity of the document as well as the system properties. The print language is the PCL3 GUI and PCL3 enhanced. The best printing mode for plain paper is at the resolution of 600 x 600 dpi (dots per inch) with an automatic output. This resolution goes for both black and colored printing.
The scanning resolution is at 1200 x 1200 dpi at a color depth of 24-bit and 8-bit grayscale.
The fax function can send and receive fax messages of both monochrome and color printing with up to 99-speed dial numbers. It also has a manual way of sending and receiving a fax. The average transmission rate is 33.6 kbps at 4 seconds per page. The standard resolution, however, is 200 x 200 dpi for color transmission and 200 x 98 dpi for black.
The copy function is by digital image processing and also varies according to the complexity of the document and the model of the printer, as well as the compatibility of that model with the system.
This printer does not support mobile printing. This feature means it cannot work with either Apple AirPrint or HP ePrint from mobile devices.
