There are two cartridges present in the printer package; one black and the other color cartridge. The original cartridge is the HP Black Ink cartridge with the ability to print up to 190 pages. Whereas the equivalent tri-color print cartridge prints up to 165 pages. The configuration of the nozzle includes 328 for black and 588 for the tri-color.

The maximum printing resolution is usually up to 1200 x 1200 dpi for monochrome and 4800 x 1200 dpi for colored pages. The installed printer drivers use the PCL 3 GUI, PCLm, and URF. More so, the software included are drivers & utilities as well as HP Photo Creations software.
