Epson XP-424 model belongs to the printers’ expression model that produces a high print output quality through the modern drop-on-demand thermal inkjet technology. This system also supports the use of the MicroPiezo method for optimum delivery of speed and quality. The maximum print resolution is up to 5760 x 1440 optimized dots per inch (dpi). According to the ISO mode, the printer speed includes a print rate of 9.0 ISO pages per minute (ppm) for black documents. On the other hand, color printing has a speed of 4.5 ISO ppm.

In terms of the ink qualities, the compatible ink type is the DURABrite Ultra pigment ink that produces smudge, fade, and water-resistant documents. The ink palette comprises cyan, yellow, magenta, and black colors through the four individual ink cartridges. Also, the ink yield capacity depends on the model of the replacement cartridge. For instance, the 220 standard-capacity models can print 175 pages in black and up to 165 pages in color.
On the other hand, the other replacement cartridge model option is the 220XL high capacity model that can produce 500 pages in black and 450 pages in color. When these cartridges are in use, there is no room for a third-party cartridge in the machine. Besides, the fare resistance or the print longevity of the output is up to 118 years. At the same time, the Epson XP-424 device supports a temperature range between 10 and 350C during operations.
More so, while in storage, the temperature range is between -20 and 400C under ideal conditions. Concerning the relative environmental humidity, the machine supports a range between 20 and 80%.
