Printing is possible in two modes. One is the normal ideal mode, while the other is the ISO/IEC 24734 standard mode. When printing at the former, the print rate is up to 8.7 pages per minute for black and white documents. On the other hand, color printing at the same mode has a speed of 4.5 ppm. However, printing with the same machine usually has a print rate of 33 pages per minute (ppm) for black and white documents.
On the other hand, when printing colored documents, the print rate is about 15 ppm while using plain paper of 75 gsm average paperweight. When using photo paper, printing has 38 seconds on average, and while uses the Epson Premium Glossy Photo paper. The machine can produce black documents with 300 dpi resolution and 2.4 milliseconds per line scanning speed as a scanner. However, when it is increased by 600 dpi simultaneously, the rate becomes 7.2 milliseconds per line.
The optical resolution from the scanning process is about 1200 x 2400 dpi while using the contact image sensor (CIS) element.
