Brother QL-800 Driver is for the QL-800 label printer, which prints address labels, shipping labels, badges, and office labels. Brother QL-800 is a desktop direct thermal label printer, not a scan, copy, or fax machine. Its 300 dpi thermal head has 720 dots and works with Brother DK die-cut labels or continuous rolls. The control panel carries Power, Feed, Cutter, and Editor Lite buttons. Green, orange, and red LEDs show printer status. Without a DK roll loaded, the body measures 125.3 x 213 x 142 mm and weighs about 1.15 kg.

Standard printing runs at 300 x 300 dpi. High-resolution mode raises the setting to 300 x 600 dpi. For black-only labels, speed can reach 148 mm per second. Two-colour black and red output on white DK roll runs slower, up to 24 mm per second. The printhead covers a maximum width of 58 mm. When continuous labels leave the print path, the automatic cutter trims them to length.

The media path takes Brother DK rolls up to 62 mm wide. Standard address labels use the same roll system as continuous paper and film stock. Die-cut labels suit fixed label sizes, while continuous rolls handle variable-length labels. Since the image layer sits in the direct thermal media, the printer uses no ink cartridges, toner, or ribbon supplies. The control panel has no preview display, though the device functions include copy printing and mirror printing.

USB 2.0 Full Speed is the built-in computer interface on this non-wireless model. The base unit has no wired Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or display hardware. Network printing belongs to another QL-800 series variant, not this model. Power ratings differ by market: India lists 220 to 240 V AC at 50/60 Hz, and United States support lists 120 V AC at 60 Hz.
