A unique function included support for Mobile Printing capability which provides for HP ePrint and Apple AirPrint. The Printer supports both Windows and Mac Operation Systems. These include Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP. Others include OS X v10.11 El Capitan, OS X v10.10 Yosemite, and OS X v10.9 Mavericks. Others include OS X v10.8 Mountain Lion, OS X v10.7 Lion, and Mac OS X v10.6.

The compatible ink cartridges that work well with this printer include HP 564 for Americas and the Asia Pacific. For Western Europe, the excellent ink cartridge is HP 364 and HP 862 for China and India. For Africa, Japan, CIS and the Middle East, the compatible ink cartridge is an HP 178.

The Paper tray has an input capacity of up to 120 sheets of plain paper. Whereas, it contains up to 50 sheets in the output tray. The supported media types include envelopes, photo paper, index cards, transparencies, and banner. These other media types have the lesser amount that fills the trays.

The printer supports an automatic duplexer which enables the printer to print on both sides of the paper. The printing speed of this device depends on the complexity of the document as well as the model of the printer in use.
