The 1 GB RAM is required for Windows 10/8/7 and 512 MB RAM is required for Windows Vista/XP. It works with Windows 10/8/Vista having minimum 2 GB free disk space, Windows 7 with 1.5 GB free disk space and Windows XP with 750 MB free disk space.

The Mac versions supported by the printer are Mac OS X v10.6, 10.7, 10.8 Mountain Lion, 10.9 Mavericks, 10.10 Yosemite and 10.11 El Captain. The printing language of HP Photosmart 5520 Printer device is PCL3 GUI and printing method is drop-on-demand thermal inkjet.
