The HP OfficeJet Pro 8730 driver supported version of Macintosh is Mac OS X v10.11, 10.10, 10.9 and Linux Kernel 2.4.19, libusb 0.1.8 or higher. It also supports a variety of Windows operating system which includes Windows 10, 7, 8 with 1 GHz processor or 1 GB RAM. The other versions are Windows XP and Windows Vista with Intel Pentium 2 or 800 MHz processor and 512 MB RAM. For installing of the file, you need a 2 GB or 850 MB free disk space in all windows.

HP OfficeJet Pro 8730 physical dimensions are 13.4×19.7×20.9 inches with 33.023 lb weight which make this printer different from other Officejet printers. It runs efficiently on 35 watts of maximum power with 100 to 240 VAC input voltage and 50/60 Hz input frequency. This device supports different USB flash drives such as SanDisk Cruzer Micro, SanDisk CZ73, and ORGE U-02, etc.

It has two types of the tray which are tray one and tray two. Both trays have a capacity of 250 sheets of paper. But the tray one also stores photo paper, envelopes, and cards. The output tray has 150 sheets capacity of plain paper.

For black draft speed of this device are 36 ppm (pages per minute) and 36 ppm for the color draft. With the method of digital image processing, it enlarges the document from 25%-400%. Resolutions stand at 1200×1200 dots per inch (dpi) in optical with a color depth of 24-bit color or 8-bit grayscale.
