That tray takes 10 × 15, 13 × 13, and 13 × 18 cm sheets. Printed pages collect in a 60-sheet output tray, so it fills sooner than the main input tray empties. Borderless output can extend to 216 × 297 mm on compatible paper.

A nearby computer can connect through USB 2.0. For wireless jobs, the printer uses dual-band 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi with automatic connection recovery. Phones, tablets, and Chromebooks can send output using AirPrint, Mopria, Chrome OS printing, or the HP app. Wi-Fi Direct is useful when the device cannot join the home router. Ethernet and memory-card hardware are absent. HP rates the monthly duty cycle at up to 1,000 pages, although the recommended range is 300 to 400 pages. With its trays extended, the printer measures 460 × 511 × 190.5 mm and weighs 6.91 kg.
