Photo, presentation, and brochure stock can be loaded for colour output. Custom simplex sheets may measure from 76.2 × 127 mm to 216 × 304.8 mm.

A nearby computer can connect through Hi-Speed USB 2.0. For wireless jobs, the printer can join either a 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz Wi-Fi network. Phones and tablets can send work using the HP app, Apple AirPrint, Mopria, or Android printing services. Wi-Fi Direct is useful when a router connection is unavailable.
