The Epson ET-15000 prints at wide-format sizes and also scans, copies, and faxes. Four refillable tanks use Epson 502 ink bottles in black, cyan, magenta, and yellow. The printhead can place droplets as small as 3.3 picoliters. A color flatbed handles single originals, and the 35-sheet automatic document feeder takes care of longer document sets. Standalone settings appear on a 2.7-inch color touchscreen.
Printing reaches 4800 x 1200 dpi, with ISO speeds of 17 ppm in black and 9 ppm in color. Automatic two-sided output is slower at 7 ppm for black pages and 5 ppm for color. Borderless sheets can extend to 11 x 17 inches. Scanning relies on 1200 x 2400 dpi hardware resolution, with software interpolation up to 9600 dpi. Legal-size originals can pass through the document feeder instead of being placed on the flatbed one at a time.
A 250-sheet cassette holds everyday paper at the front. Card stock, envelopes, and larger sheets use the separate 20-sheet rear feed. Common sizes range from A6 and half letter to legal paper, with custom lengths reaching 47.24 inches. Wide-format stock up to 13 x 19 inches also enters from the rear. The 35-sheet feeder keeps multipage scanning, copying, and faxing from requiring manual placement of every page.
A nearby computer can connect through Hi-Speed USB, while Ethernet links the printer to a wired network. Wireless jobs travel over Wi-Fi 4 or Wi-Fi Direct, which can operate without the home router. Phones and tablets can send work using Epson iPrint, Apple AirPrint, Mopria, and supported Epson Connect services. The fax memory stores as many as 100 pages and 100 speed-dial entries. With its trays closed, the chassis measures 19.6 x 14.1 x 9.6 inches and weighs about 21.4 pounds.
