Legal-size originals can pass through the document feeder instead of being placed on the flatbed one at a time.

A 250-sheet cassette holds everyday paper at the front. Card stock, envelopes, and larger sheets use the separate 20-sheet rear feed. Common sizes range from A6 and half letter to legal paper, with custom lengths reaching 47.24 inches. Wide-format stock up to 13 x 19 inches also enters from the rear. The 35-sheet feeder keeps multipage scanning, copying, and faxing from requiring manual placement of every page.

A nearby computer can connect through Hi-Speed USB, while Ethernet links the printer to a wired network. Wireless jobs travel over Wi-Fi 4 or Wi-Fi Direct, which can operate without the home router. Phones and tablets can send work using Epson iPrint, Apple AirPrint, Mopria, and supported Epson Connect services. The fax memory stores as many as 100 pages and 100 speed-dial entries. With its trays closed, the chassis measures 19.6 x 14.1 x 9.6 inches and weighs about 21.4 pounds.
