Similarly, the color documents can print at 13 ppm, equivalent to 4.6 seconds per page at the fast mode. However, the standard model has a print rate of 4.5 pages per minute (ppm). In terms of the printing resolution, black documents have a print rate of 600 x 600 dots per inch (dpi). However, the color print resolution is up to 4800 x 1200 dpi.

Furthermore, the maximum paper capacity through the automatic sheet feed can accommodate 100 sheets of plain paper. Moreover, the compatible standard paper sizes include the letter, legal, A4, and US commercial #10 envelopes. Besides, it supports an average paperweight of 17 lbs. on the other hand, the memory card slot supports direct usage and a PictBridge port for connecting cameras.

The compatible memory card types for direct connection include the compact flash, microdrive, SmartMedia, memory stick, MMC, and secure digital (SD). However, some of the memory cards can require the use of a special adapter. Examples of such cards include the xD-Picture card, Memory Stick Duo and miniSD.

Apart from the memory card slots and the PictBridge, the machine also uses the standard USB 2.0 port without the cable. This USB connection has no parallel connection at all.
