The minimum ink droplet size of ink with this machine is about one picolitre per nozzle. There are also two categories of ink tanks that apply to this machine. It uses the PGI-725BK model for pigment black and CLI-726BK for cyan, magenta, yellow and black.
The maximum print resolution from the machine is about 9600 (horizontal) x 2400 (vertical) dots per inch (dpi). According to the ISO standard, the black and white document printing in this machine runs at 11pages per minute (ppm). Whereas, color printing runs at a rate of 9.3 ppm by the same standard.
