This machine also supports automatic duplex printing, which ensures distribution on both sides of the paper. Furthermore, it can print on CD or DVD as the access through an external drive. Canon PIXMA iP4680 model has high speed 4R borderless photo printing for work in just 20 seconds. On the other hand, when the machine is printing a photo on an A4, it takes only 43 seconds. The minimum ink droplet size of ink with this machine is about one picolitre per nozzle. There are also two categories of ink tanks that apply to this machine. It uses the PGI-725BK model for pigment black and CLI-726BK for cyan, magenta, yellow and black.
The maximum print resolution from the machine is about 9600 (horizontal) x 2400 (vertical) dots per inch (dpi). According to the ISO standard, the black and white document printing in this machine runs at 11pages per minute (ppm). Whereas, color printing runs at a rate of 9.3 ppm by the same standard. But when printing on an A4 photo paper, the rate is approximately 43 seconds. This machine works with various paper sizes, including A4, letter, legal, envelopes, B5, A5, and other standard formats.
