The print engine of the Brother MFC-9320CW model is the electrophotographic LED method in a single pass. The scanning method, however, is the CIS method that ensures an excellent quality of the scanned document. The interface for proper usage of the printer is through an external TAD and high-speed USB 2.0 port and host. Also, the printer also supports the use of Ethernet 10/100Base-TX LAN cable as well as wireless connectivity.

The printer supports the use of host-based Windows 2000 Pro, XP Home and Professional editions and Server 2003. The memory of the printer is up to 64 MB of RAM with an optional expandable memory of up to 512 MB. The memory backup is up to 60 hours. Paper handling through the standard input tray can hold up to 250 sheets of plain paper. The device does not make use of a multipurpose tray but has an automatic document feeder (ADF). The ADF feature can hold up to 35 sheets of plain paper.
Conversely, the output tray holds up to 100 sheets of printed papers in a face-down pattern. Also, there is one sheet that has a face up in a straight paper path. The media weight has an acceptable range from 60 to 105 gsm. The device also supports sizes such as A4, letter, ISOB5, A5, A6, ISOB6, and executive. The display component of the Brother MFC-9320CW printer model supports a liquid crystal display (LCD). This LCD screen supports up to 16 characters and two lines as well as a one-touch dial for 8 locations.
The modem speed runs up to 33600 bps and a transmission speed of 2 seconds for monochrome faxing. The grayscale depth is about 256 levels and 8 bit.
