The Brother DCP-8060 printer model is a higher version of the later versions of the Brother printer model series. The physical measures of the printer include a depth that is about 450 mm, a height of about 475 mm and a width of 531 mm. The weight, however, is about 16.1 kg, which is equivalent to 35.5 lbs without taking into consideration the processing unit of the device. The printer also supports the use of an automatic document feeder (ADF) which can hold up to 50 pages.

The ADF supports a document input width that ranges between 5.8 inches to 8.5 inches and a document input length between 5.8 inches and 14 inches. However, for the multipurpose main input tray, the document input length is between 4.57 inches and 16 inches while that of input width is between 2.75 inches to 8.5 inches. The paper input tray capacity of the tray holds up to 250 sheets of plain paper while the MP tray has a size of up to 50 sheets of standard weight of 20 lbs.

There is an optional paper tray that has a capacity for 550 sheets of plain paper. Conversely, the output tray can hold up to 150 sheets. The internal memory of the Brother DCP-8060 printer has 32 MB of RAM and is expandable to 544 MB with a DIMM 144pin slot. The liquid crystal display (LCD) supports up to 5 lines and has a backlight. The printer works at a rate of up to 30 pages per minute (ppm) when printing on letter size and up to 28 ppm when printing on an A4.

There are three connectivity options for this Brother DCP-8060 device that includes a high-speed USB 2.0 port and a wireless IEEE-1284 parallel component. The third option is the Ethernet 10/100 BaseTX, and the print resolution is on the average, 1200 dots per inch (dpi).
