Epson XP-960 printer has six colors in the system, including cyan, magenta, yellow, black, light magenta, light cyan within the drop-on-demand MicroPiezo inkjet technology. The compatible printer languages are the Epson ESC/P raster and an ESC/P-R. Besides, the maximum print resolution of up to 5760 x 1440 optimized dots per inch (dpi). The black document printing’s ISO print speed is as fast as 8.5 ISO pages per minute (ppm). However, color documents can print at the rate of 8.0 ISO ppm, all for the normal simplex printing mode. The automatic two-sided printing has a print rate of 4.7 ISO ppm for black documents. On the other hand, color printing has a print rate of 4.5 ISO ppm. At the same time, the minimum ink droplet volume is about 1.5 picolitres (pl).
Some of the PC-free printing features include auto photo correction, crop, rotate, enlarge, select multiple photos, to print on a single page. Copying with the Epson XP-960 machine has a rate of 8.1 ISo copies per minute (CPM) for both color and black document types. Its copy quantities can also reach 99 copies from a single original document. However, it also supports 8.5 x 14 inches at the maximum document size. It also helps 2-sided copies with the automatic duplexer.
Scanning uses the color flatbed scanner that also has a contact image sensor (CIS) element. Its maximum hardware resolution of up to 4800 dpi, while the max resolution is up to 9600 x 9600 dpi at the interpolated level.
