Epson WorkForce Pro WF-4720 printer model uses a PrecisionCore 4S print head with a 4-color system comprising cyan, magenta, yellow and black. It also runs on a drop-on-demand thermal inkjet technology with a maximum print resolution of 4800 x 1200 dots per inch (dpi). In terms of the print speed, the machine works at the ISO mode to produce black documents at 20 pages per minute (ppm). On the other hand, color documents at this mode print at the same rate of 20 ppm.

But when the printer is printing at the duplex or double-sided mode, the print rate is ten ppm for monochrome and color documents. This machine’s minimum ink droplet size is as small as 3.8 picolitres (pl) but has up to 3 droplet sizes. Kindly note that this printer has a design specifically for Epson cartridges and not any third party type or model. The ink type is the DURABrite Ultra pigment ink that is protective from smudges, fading, or water flushing.
When a user exhausts any of the cartridges, the replacement options include the 802 standard-capacity models for all four colors. The other option is the 802XL high capacity model for all four colors, including cyan, magenta, yellow and black. In terms of the print capacity, the former cartridge model can produce 900 pages of black documents and 650 pages of colored papers. On the other hand, the latter model will print 2600 pages in black and 1900 pages in color.
