However, the machine Canon PIXMA iP2850 is not capable of producing borderless printing, and neither is the two-sided printing automatic. In other words, duplex printing can only be by manual operation. The listed compatible ink cartridges include PG-545 for pigment black and CL-546 for color documents. On the other hand, users have optional XL ink cartridges of PG-545XL for pigment black XL and CL-546XL for color XL.
Printing documents in black and color by the standard model can produce up to 180 pages for the regular installed cartridges. However, the optional XL cartridges will produce 400 documents in black and 300 documents in color. All these document specifications are following the ISO/IEC 24711 standard for continuous printing on A4 paper. The compatible paper types include plain paper, envelopes, Canon Plus Glossy II, and Canon Glossy Everyday Use.
On the other hand, the standard paper sizes are A4, A5, B5, letter, and clean sheets. This machine will also hold a maximum of 60 layers of plain paper in its main input tray. But when loading in photo papers, it can contain only ten sheets. In terms of the paperweight, the supported range is between 64 and 105 gsm for plain sheets.
