The maximum print resolution from the Canon PIXMA iP1300 model is up to 4800 x 1200 dots per inch (dpi). It also has an inkjet print system with a 3-ink component that comprises of FINE cartridges. Canon PIXMA iP1300 Supported Ink Catridges

Monochrome printing has a rate of 5 pages per minute (ppm) by standard conditions. But the maximum performance runs at up to 11 ppm. Conversely, color printing has a speed of up to 4.2 ppm by standard and 11 ppm at maximum level. The compatible ink cartridge configuration involves the CL-41 FINE cartridge model. An optional model for black printing is the PG-40, although the details are also available online.

The recommended media types include plain paper, envelopes, photo paper pro (PR-101), and photo paper plus glossy (PP-101). Other examples include high-resolution paper, t-shirt transfer, photo stickers, super white paper, matte photo paper, and glossy photo paper. On the flip side, the standard paper sizes include A4, A5, B5, Letter, legal, DL envelopes, credit card, and commercial envelopes. Other exciting features of the machine Canon PIXMA iP1300 include Photo optimizer PRO, and image optimizer.

The media weight range is between 64 to 105 gsm for the standard paper sizes and types. But the Canon special media can support a maximum weight of up to 273 gsm. By manual operation, the usual connectivity interface option is the USB 2.0 hi-speed port. It is also compatible with Windows XP SP1/SP2, Windows 2000 professional SP2/SP3/SP4, Windows Me, Windows 98 and 98 SE. Apart from Windows OS, it is also compatible with Mac OS X v10.2.8 to v10.4.
