Specifications
The input tray capacity is about 250 pages of plain or legal sheets of paper whereas the multipurpose supporting tray has a size of 50 sheets or 3 sheets of envelopes. Also, the output tray can hold about 150 sheets of printed paper in a face-down pattern. The Brother DCP-9042CDN printer also supports the use of an automatic document feeder (ADF) that helps to keep 35 sheets.
The supported media sizes for the standard tray includes A4, Letter, Executive, Folio, Legal, A5, ISOB5, A6, and ISOB6. Also, the standard weight of the printer’s standard input tray is between 16 and 28 lbs while that of the multipurpose tray is between 16 to 43 pounds. The internal memory of this printer has a capacity of 64 MB of RAM but without memory backup.
The control panel of the device contains a liquid crystal display (LCD) component that supports 16 different characters and two lines. The primary input interface is through the universal serial bus (USB) 2.0 port as well as an Ethernet 10/100BaseTX network components. Similarly, the device also supports an automatic duplex printing which allows printing on both sides of the page automatically, by itself.
The print rate is up to 20 pages per minute for black and white as well as colored printing. Similarly, the resolution is 600 x 600 dpi while the maximum is 2400 x 600 dpi at top quality. This printer also supports traditional print languages that include PCL6, and BR-Script 3.
