It has low power consumption as it is ENERGY STAR 2.0 certified. It consumes 27.7 watts of electricity while printing, 20.87 watts when copying. On standby mode, it comes about 4.57 watts, 1.81 watts on sleep mode and 0.31 watts while in off.
On the inside, HP Officejet 7612 has a 500 MHz processor and 256 MB memory which drives the print engine for maximum printing speed of 30 ppm black and 26 ppm in color. These are the draft mode specifications, and the ISO speed is 15 ppm black and 8 ppm color. Due to its fast processor, it has less warm time, and the first page can print in just 15 sec for black and 18 sec color. It also has a high print resolution of 600 x 1200 dpi and 4800 x 1200 for black and color prints respectively.
