The product number is CZ177A for the HP LaserJet Pro MFP M125ra model, which characteristically has rear hi-speed USB 2.0 port. It also does not have mobile printing features and does not support HP ePrint and Apple AirPrint. The measured dimensions of the printer with closed doors and trays include a height of 10 inches. The supported paper sizes include US legal, letter, A4, A5, A6, Executive while envelope sizes include DL, B5, C5 and the US No 10. The cards include the Japanese postcard and second Japanese cards. The supported sizes do cover not only standard sizes but also custom sizes.

The printer specifications also include a maximum resolution of 600 x 600 dots per inch (dpi) at the plain-best mode. Whereas the draft mode has a minimum resolution of 300 x 300 dpi, and the normal mode is with a 600 x 400 resolution. The input resolution is 1200 x 1200 dpi while the device language is the HP PCL3 GUI.

The copy function is with a speed of up to 21 cpm at the default mode, but this speed depends on the complexity of the document as well as the printer model. The copy resolution is as fast as 15 seconds with its Digital Image Processing faculty. Scanning involved a resolution of 1200 x 1200 dpi but enhanced to about 19200 dpi.
