Specifications

Printing speed for monochrome is at the rate of 7.5 pages per minute (ppm) for the ISO mode and 20 ppm for draft mode. The print speed for color printing is about 5.5 ppm for the ISO mode and 16 ppm for the draft mode. After issuing the command for publication, the printer produces the first page as fast as 15 seconds if black and 18 seconds if in color.

The HP DeskJet 2133 printer could print up to 1000 pages in a month at the maximum delivery. However, the manufacturer recommends a monthly duty cycle of about 50 to 100 printed pages. The printer features work through the HP Thermal Inkjet print technology with the HP PCL3 GUI printer driver. At the best print mode, when printing in color, the resolution is up to 4800 x 1200 optimized dpi.

This mode requires printing from a computer on selected HP photo papers and an input of 1200 dpi. For printing in black though, the resolution is 1200 x 1200 rendered dpi. The compatible print cartridge is two, one for black and the other is tri-color for cyan, magenta and yellow colors. The printer has no automatic paper sensor feature.

The primary connectivity route is through the standard hi-speed USB port and has no wireless connection feature. This limitation also implies that there is no mobile printing ability, neither could it use mobile printing options such as HP ePrint and Apple AirPrint. However, an advantage of this printer is the inbuilt integrated processing and saving memory. Finally, the input tray of this device holds up to 60 sheets of plain paper while the output tray holds about 25 layers.
