Concerning the nozzle configuration, the machine has two black sets of 400 nozzles and two sets of 128 nozzles for color printing. The supported color includes cyan, magenta, and yellow. The Epson L1455 machine can also produce a maximum resolution of 4800 x 2400 dots per inch (dpi) with a variable-sized droplet technology. It also supports automatic two-sided printing when using an A3 paper size. Photo printing with this device has a print rate of 42 seconds per photo.
At the draft mode, black document printing has 32 pages per minute (ppm), while color printing runs at 20 ppm. Whereas, at the ISO 24734 standard mode, simplex black printing has a print rate of 18 images per minute (ipm) while color printing is ten ipm. However, double-sided printing for black documents is 8.7 ipm, and color printing runs at 6.0 ipm. The rates above particularly apply to the use of A4 paper. But this machine can also work with A3 paper size.
Copying with this machine has several exciting features, including a zoom range within 25 and 400% of the original document size. It also has an auto fic function and a maximum copy size of an A3.
